I get positively giddy when I go into an office supply store. But sometimes, the supplies are just a little plain for my tastes. So I like to take those supplies and turn them into something that I&nbsp;can take pride in and place on a desk. Now just this holder by itself is adorable because, hey, it&#8217;s pink!<\/p>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/-u6d-buAUmdg\/Vxku53YdBPI\/AAAAAAAAMSs\/bG-z2ZlRReQt6HRAWh9WJaAOPmVr75lzACLcB\/s1600\/35011.jpg\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"320\" src=\"https:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/-u6d-buAUmdg\/Vxku53YdBPI\/AAAAAAAAMSs\/bG-z2ZlRReQt6HRAWh9WJaAOPmVr75lzACLcB\/s320\/35011.jpg\" width=\"320\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>But I wanted to fancy it up a bit, so I decorated the outside of the cup using beautiful&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mayaroad.net\/index.php?main_page=index&amp;cPath=3_219&amp;zenid=6f5fe8c201eb2a597bf4d5e30cfd89f1%20%20style=\">organza rose ribbon from Maya Road<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/--Hy6fzZ_epg\/VxkvhaD86zI\/AAAAAAAAMSw\/MpE1SN3Ssgwu-y4MonHIVfMWbaUAvh4rACLcB\/s1600\/pencilholderoutside.jpg\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"640\" src=\"https:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/--Hy6fzZ_epg\/VxkvhaD86zI\/AAAAAAAAMSw\/MpE1SN3Ssgwu-y4MonHIVfMWbaUAvh4rACLcB\/s640\/pencilholderoutside.jpg\" width=\"584\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>I then went to work on the inside of the pencil holder, attaching some vintage-print ribbon, a vintage button, and an iron-on letter from&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.joysa.com\/\">JOY embroidered letters<\/a>&nbsp;(I just used a hot glue gun to attach the letter rather than iron it on). I wanted a vintage feel for the photos in the frames too so I used paper from&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sevengypsies.com\/\">7Gypsies<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/timholtz.com\/prod_cat\/paperie\/\">Salvage Stickers: Lost and Found from Tim Holtz<\/a>. As Tim calls them, &#8220;found relatives&#8221;!<\/p>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-505Fgz-ZKu4\/VxkxkHQnx-I\/AAAAAAAAMTA\/dRw_AFA2Ue0GfG4rCk6rCbemYi3vIS78gCLcB\/s1600\/pencil%2Bholder.jpg\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-505Fgz-ZKu4\/VxkxkHQnx-I\/AAAAAAAAMTA\/dRw_AFA2Ue0GfG4rCk6rCbemYi3vIS78gCLcB\/s640\/pencil%2Bholder.jpg\" width=\"640\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>This would make an awesome gift for mom or grandmother for Mother&#8217;s Day.
